'Talking About Los Angeles' With Eric Garcetti

Los Angeles City Councilman Eric Garcetti responded to questions regarding his run for mayor as part of the "Talking About Los Angeles" series. Some of the questions were submitted by Patch readers.

The interview was held before a live audience at the downtown campus of Los Angeles Trade Technical College.

Moderator for the interview was Anthony Salcito, vice president of worldwide education for Microsoft Corp., the event's lead sponsor. The councilman responded to questions submitted by Patch readers, presented by Patch Regional Editor Richard Core.

Patch is a co-sponsor of the series, which has been organized by the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, a Latino voter participation organization; and Cerrell Associates, a Los Angeles political consulting firm.

Other candidates who have committed to appear include Austin BeutnerWendy GreuelKevin James and Jan Perry. The next conversation, with Perry, is scheduled for May 15 at California State University Northridge.

Same old policians looking for the next job. Same ones that put the city in the bad position it is in with cracked sidewalks, budget cuts and going into backruptcy.
