Helping the Senior Citizens in Your Life

Catherine Fritz of Together in Transition can tell you where to turn for elder care.

Catherine Fritz of Together in Transition appeared at Thursday's Community Council meeting at the 's community room to provide information for people dealing with elder-care issues.

“Los Angeles has currently and will continue to hold the largest population of elderly people [per capita]," she informed those in attendance, adding that the Department of Aging is going through "a series of budget cuts.”

Neverthless, services are available and she said, “We will come in and work with families and decide where the best location is for the seniors [and help navigate such issues as] household downsizing, moving day supervision and the decoration of the new residence.”
