405 Freeway Work to Brings Fourth Night of Closures

by City News Service

For the fourth consecutive night, northbound traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway will be blocked just after midnight tonight until around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Repaving and restriping work will close the northbound 405 at the Santa Monica (10) Freeway interchange. Traffic may enter the 405 north at the Santa Monica Boulevard onramp, or ramps north of there at Wilshire Boulevard or near Sunset Boulevard.

Traffic on the 405 heading from Culver City toward the San Fernando Valley will be diverted to the eastbound or westbound Santa Monica (10) freeway. The recommended detour is westbound 10 to the first exit -- northbound Bundy Avenue -- and then use Santa Monica Boulevard to its freeway onramp.

Traffic on the 10 is recommended by Metro to use the Overland Avenue offramps and take National and Sepulveda boulevards to the 405 onramps at Santa Monica or Wilshire.
