Wreck on Sunset and Chautauqua Stops Traffic

According to updated information from the fire department, one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a pickup truck and station wagon collision Tuesday morning.

Traffic was backed up along Sunset and Chautauqua boulevards late Tuesday morning after a wreck that involved a pickup truck and a station wagon.

Just before 5 p.m., the Los Angeles City Fire Department updated Patch on the crash. Matt Spence of the LA City Fire Department said one of the drivers went to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to LAPD Officer Neri, who was on the scene of the crash, the man driving the Volkswagen station wagon was traveling southwest on Sunset when the woman driving the pickup truck made an unprotected left turn from Sunset to Chautauqua. Neri said the woman likely didn't see the station wagon and made the turn. Items were thrown out of both cars onto the street due to the impact.
