Westwood Labor March to Snarl Traffic

Demonstrators plan to sit at the Westwood and Wilshire boulevard intersection and plan to be arrested, snarling Westside traffic.

There's a planned labor march and demonstration around 2:30 p.m. in Westwood Friday, according to Los Angeles police.

Severe traffic gridlock could affect the Westside due to the event, and police advise to avoid the area.

The march reportedly starts from Westwood Boulevard and Le Conte Avenue at 2:30 p.m. and proceeds south on Westwood to Wilshire Boulevard.

LAPD says at approximately 3 p.m., the group will March south on Westwood Blvd. to Wilshire Blvd. and plan to sit in the intersection. The organizers have advised that approximately 25 people plan to be arrested.
