Local Search Planned for Missing UCLA Student

Volunteers are welcome for a renewed search for David Goeser this Saturday morning in Pacific Palisades, where his car was initially found.

The family of missing UCLA student David Goeser is renewing the local search effort on Saturday in the area where his car was found on Los Liones Drive in Pacific Palisades, and they are looking for volunteers. The search information was posted on the Find David Goeser Facebook page Friday afternoon.

Authorities are now . The search begins Saturday at , at 701 Palisades Drive, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be conducted in cooperation with Team Amber (the California search & rescue organization), volunteers and friends with Find David Goeser.
 
All volunteers must be 18 years old and have a valid ID with them. Volunteers will be organized into teams of four to 10 and sent out to specific areas in the hills in and around Pacific Palisades. Appropriate hiking attire and supplies are needed. Water and snacks will be provided on site.
 
The group hopes a search of the area will provide additional information as to Goeser’s whereabouts. The search will run throughout the day, and volunteers are urged to come for half or the whole day.

According to a detective in the Missing Person's Unit, they have no updates on the expanded search as of Friday.
