Vehicle Crashes Into Tree on Sunset Blvd.

Vehicle crash in Pacific Palisades sends one male teenager to hospital with cuts and abrasions. Several nearby residents come to crash victim's aid.

A 19-year-old teenager was transported to an area hospital Monday night following crashing his Jaguar into a tree on Sunset Boulevard near El Medio Avenue in Pacific Palisades, according to Palisades Patrol.

The accident first hit the scanner at approximately 11:33 p.m. at 17070 Sunset Blvd. eastbound while a Palisades Patrol officer was in the 500 block of El Medio Avenue.

Several people from a nearby church who heard the accident began attending to the victim while the Palisades Patrol officer set up cones to redirect eastbound traffic.

Los Angeles fire and police units showed up minutes later. The teen sustained several cuts and abrasions to the head, neck and face but none appearded life threatening, according to Palisades Patrol.

An ambulance from Station 23 transported the victim to a nearby hospital and the accident scene was cleared at 12:08 a.m.

A cause for the accident has not been determined.
