Two Workers Airlifted After Fall From Palisades Home

The workers, reportedly doing remodeling and painting work, received serious injuries and required separate helicopter transports to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Two men reportedly working on the second story of a home on Vista Grande Drive in Pacific Palisades fell to the ground Tuesday afternoon and sustained serious to potentially life threatening injuries, according to the (LAFD). The two were transported in separate helicopters to .

LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said the call came in around 4:10 p.m. Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the residence in the 1000 block of Vista Grande Drive to find two men who were reportedly remodeling and painting the home. Humphrey said preliminary reports state the workers opened a second story window and walked out on part of the building's support structure.

"They are wooden beams that emanate from the building," Humphrey said.

The two men reportedly stood on the beams, which Humphrey said may have been decorative, and the structure collapsed. They fell to the ground, and Humphrey said they aren't sure if there was any incline or shrubbery near their landing.

"They sustained serious to potential life threatening injuries, including multiple fractures and internal injuries," he said.
