Three Vehicles Collide at Sunset Blvd. and Temescal Canyon Road

The accident occurs at one of Pacific Palisades' infamous intersections, where one person leaves with a minor injury.

One person was reported injured during a three-vehicle crash Monday night at Sunset Boulevard and Temescal Canyon Road in Pacific Palisades.

Palisades Patrol reported to respond to the intersection at approximately 7:59 p.m. and the area was essentially blocked off until at least 9 p.m. Vehicles were forced to use the southbound lanes of Temescal Canyon Road to continue north.

The collision happened in the northbound lane of Temescal Canyon Road. According to Patrol Officer Anthony Trout, a silver vehicle traveling eastbound on Sunset was entering the intersection at Temescal on a green light when a black Volkswagon Jetta made a left-hand turn in front of the silver vehicle.

Trout said the silver vehicle struck the Volkswagon, forcing it to collide with a green sports-utility vehicle that was waiting on northbound Temescal Canyon Road to turn right onto Sunset Boulevard.

The driver of the Volkswagon, a woman, suffered an injury to her right wrist and was privately transported to an area hospital after being interviewed by Los Angeles police.

Four LAPD units arrived and secured the scene, used flares and directed traffic. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics from Station 69 also responded. Palisades Patrol aided in the drivers exchanging information and contacting the tow trucks for dispatch.
