Police, Helicopter Respond to Fake Gunshot Noise
Activities at murder mystery dinner alerts police to Pacific Palisades.
Apparently a murder mystery dinner in Pacific Palisades Saturday night got a little too real.
Sounds of a gunshot and scream brought out a Los Angeles Police Department helicopter and several patrol units to area around 8 p.m., reports Palisades Patrol.
A Patch Facebook user first inquired about the police activity near Sunset Boulevard and Drummond Streets shortly after 8 p.m., and Pali Patrol dispatcher James Robbins told Patch the first call of the gunshot and scream came in around 8 p.m.

"It ended up being a murder mystery dinner," Robbins said, noting the gunshot and scream sounds were fake.
