A burglary suspect arrested near pop singer Rihanna's Pacific Palisades home remained in custody Friday.
Police arrested the man after being called around 9 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of Rivas Canyon Road, where the performer has a home, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Station.
LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman of Media Relations said the man told officers that he was looking for Rihanna's home, which was not the residence he was suspected of attempting to burglarize.
Police had the suspect in handcuffs as officers searched the garage of a house next door to Rihanna's, a news photographer reported from the scene.
The man was booked on suspicion of burglary. His name was not immediately released.
Rihanna purchased the home in December.
