Photo Gallery: Mandeville Canyon Brush Fire

The blaze burned through 40 acres in the Sepulveda Pass area for three days last week.

The burned through 40 acres from Sept. 5-7 in the Sepulveda Pass area.

Although there were no formal evacuations, the Los Angeles Fire Department said residents were not allowed to return home while firefighters actively worked in the 3600 block of Mandeville Canyon Road.

A few Palisadians saw water falling from the sky as the fire department attacked the blaze from above. Patch received photos of the water drops from residents and from the fire department.

According to the LAFD, two firefighters suffered heat-related injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, according to fire officials.
