Pali Police Blotter: Rihanna's Roof Trespasser, Begger Attempts Entering Home

Stalker scales Rihanna's wall onto roof

A 26-year-old man, identified as Robert Melanson, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. June 17 in the 900 block of Rivas Canyon Road at singer Rihanna's house. He was arrested for trespassing after jumping an eight-foot wall to enter the property, according to Los Angeles police.

Man begs for food, attempts to enter home

At 7:30 p.m. June 21 in the 15900 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect, who's been identified, knocked on the home asking for food. Police say the owner reportedly gave the suspect food and then they left, but the suspect returned later and attempted to enter the victim's home without permission.

Home burglary

Between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 20 in the 14700 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect entered a home through a second floor window and took money.

Watches stolen from home

Between 12 p.m. April 1 and 8 a.m. June 18 in the 100 block of Ocean Way, a suspect, possibly hired to work inside the home, took several watches from the residence.

Burglary from motor vehicles
  • Between 2 and 6 p.m. June 15 at the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway, a suspect smashed the window to a vehicle and took an oboe.
  • Between 7 and 8 p.m. June 20 at the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway, a suspect smashed a window on a vehicle and took a briefcase, money and cell phone.
  • Between 2 p.m. June 20 and 12:30 p.m. June 21 in the 900 block of Fiske Street, a suspect smashed the window to a vehicle and ransacked the interior but police say it's unknown if any items were stolen.
Suspect throws can of food through window

At 11 p.m. June 17 in the 500 block of Swarthmore Avenue, a suspect threw a can of food through a window on a home, causing it to break.

Between 10 p.m. June 20 and 2:55 a.m. June 21 in the 900 block of Fiske Street, a suspect smashed a window on a vehicle.
