After investigating, the responding LAUSD police officer determined the teen boys were in possession of a controlled substance. The officer took the evidence and cited the students before releasing them, according to the report from Palisades Patrol.

LAUSD police officers are uniformed, armed and are issued a police car, which allows them to respond to incidents off campus, according to Wagenseller. Palisades Patrol has direct radio communication with LAUSD police.
