"Captain Lane Kemper was a friend of mine, and before he passed away he had asked me to take over the event," Bringas told Pali Patch. "The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund has always been there to help our firefighters and families in their time of need. What better than to put something together for the camaraderie of the firefighters and at the same time to give something back."
