Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Would-Be Intruder Gets Scared Away and Suspect Steals Lobster Tails
In this week's crime report, a Palisadian saw a possible home intruder in the midnight hour and a suspect took 10 lobster tails from a restaurant.
Here are the crimes reported in Pacific Palisades from Aug. 8-Aug. 28. This information is provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Burglary
16100 block of Northfield St.

- When: Aug. 16 between 10:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s home through an unlocked door and took a laptop computer and television.
Burglary/Theft From Vehicle
800 block of Paseo Miramar

- When: Between Aug. 12 at 8 a.m. and Aug. 13 at 4 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took clothing.
300 block of Sumac Ln.
- When: Between Aug. 12 at 3:30 p.m. and Aug. 13 at 10:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took an iPhone and money.
1000 block of Lachman Ln.
- When: Aug. 12 between 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle and took an iPad, car key and bag.
17800 block of Castellammare Dr.
- When: Between Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 16 at 10 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a backpack and money.
500 block of Amalfi Dr.
- When: Between Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. and Aug. 17 at 8 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle and took a wallet, money, iPod and glasses.
200 block of Entrada Dr.
- When: Between Aug. 24 at 5 p.m. and Aug. 25 at 5 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took an iPhone, external hard drive and money.
Vandalism
1100 block of Villa View Dr.
- When: Aug. 14 between 9 a.m. and 9:10 a.m.
- What happened: Someone scratched the paint on the victim’s vehicle.
800 block of Alma Real Dr.
- When: Between Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. and Aug. 28 at 7:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect spray painted the victim’s wall with graffiti.
Arrest/Citations
Castellammare Drive at Sunset Boulevard
- When: Aug. 10 at 11 p.m.
- What happened: A 37-year-old man was arrested for reckless driving after riding a motorcycle in excess of 95 mph.
17300 block of Pacific Coast Hwy.
- When: Aug. 21 at 11:10 a.m.
- What happened: A 28-year-old man was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper after ordering and consuming alcoholic beverages and then failing to pay for the beverages.
300 block of Entrada Dr.
- When: Aug. 23 at 9:10 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s home through an open front door without permission.
Other Crimes
500 block of Spoleto Dr.
- When: Between Aug. 8 at 12:05 a.m. and Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim’s laptop computer and external hard drive while cleaning and moving crews were inside his home.
700 block of San Lorenzo St.
- When: Between Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 11 at 9 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim’s laptop computer from victim’s office.
17300 block of Pacific Coast Hwy.
- When: Aug. 19 at 5:55 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took 10 lobster tails from the victim’s restaurant.
Pacific Coast Highway at Entrada Drive
- When: Aug. 21 between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim’s bicycle from a bike rack at the beach.
400 block of Arbramar Ave.
- When: Aug. 22 between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim’s tabletop from the victim’s lawn.
300 block of Las Casas Ave.
- When: Aug. 27 at 12:05 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect shined a flashlight into the victim’s home and opened a sliding door. When the victim asked who was there the suspect said, “Nobody.” The suspect then left the area.
15800 block of Pacific Coast Hwy.
- When: Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim’s camera from the beach after it had been left unattended.
