Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Woman Robbed at Gunpoint

Woman robbed at gunpoint

On Jan. 14 at 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Arno Way, three men approached a woman as she exited her car after parking in her garage. One man, described by Los Angeles police as black with short hair, pointed a handgun at her while another man, also described as black with short hair, demanded her personal property. Police also report that a third black male was present during the robbery.

Caught vandalizing, suspect uses vehicle as battering ram

On Jan. 11 at 11:30 p.m. in the 15300 block of De Pauw Street, a man drove his vehicle into another man after the victim stopped him from vandalizing his neighbor's home. Police desrcribe the man as a white, between 5'6'' and 5'8'' and 180 pounds, between 16 and 20 years old.  

Shoplifter arrested

A 55-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the 15400 block of Sunset Boulevard and charged with theft after shoplifting merchandise from the victim's business.

Suspect takes valuables...and the girlfriend's car too

On Jan. 8 between 12:30 and 10 a.m. in the 600 block of Kingman Avenue, a suspect pried open the sliding glass door to a home while the victim was sleeping. Police say the suspect, described as possibly a white man, 5'10'' and 180 pounds and between 25 and 30 years old, took money, a laptop computer and a video camera. He also reportedly took the keys to the victim's girlfriend's vehicle and took the vehicle from the street.

Home/business burglaries on Toyopa Drive

  • Between Dec. 21 at 3:30 p.m. and Dec. 24 at 7 a.m. in the 300 block of Toyopa Drive, a suspect entered a construction site and took a table saw and packing blanket.
  • On Jan. 12 between 5 and 7:50 p.m. in the 600 block of Toyopa Drive, a suspect entered a victim's home through a second floor window and took watches.

Vehicle burglaries

  • Between Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Fiske Street, a suspect entered a victim's vehicle and took various coins.
  • Between Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 9 at 8:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Enbury Street, a suspect entered a victim's vehicle and took various coins.
  • Between Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 9 at 8:30 a.m. in the 14900 block of La Cumbre Drive, a suspect entered a vehicle and took money and jewelry.
  • Between Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 10 at 7:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Toyopa Drive, a suspect entered a vehicle and took money and compact discs.
  • Between Jan. 8 at 5:30 p.m. and Jan. 9 at 7:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Chapala Drive, a suspect entered a victim's unlocked vehicle and took an iPod.
  • Between Dec. 22 and 11 p.m. and Dec. 23 at 8 a.m. in the 14900 block of La Cumbre Drive, a suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took a bag with school books and a calculator.
