Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Theft from Vehicles Continues to be a Problem
Police advice citizens lock their cars and remove valuables from vehicles.
The following crimes were reported between Dec. 18-Dec. 24. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Burglary
Officer’s prevention tip: Always lock your home and business and set your alarm.
1000 block of Napoli Dr.

- When: Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect may have used a key to enter the victim’s home and took a watch.
Burglary/Theft From Vehicle
Officer’s prevention tip: Never leave anything inside your vehicle.
600 block of Swarthmore Ave.

- When: Between Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed the a window of a vehicle parked on the street and took art, gifts and an iPad.
15200 block of McKendree Ave.
- When: Dec. 19 at 9:30 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered an unlocked car parked in a driveway and took computers, toys and sunglasses.
800 block of Chautauqua Blvd.
- When: Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered a car that may have been unlocked and took an espresso machine, a vehicle seat and a scarf.
Theft
Officer’s prevention tip: Be aware that construction sites are being broken into.
16300 block of Pacific Coast Highway
- When: Dec. 10 at 12 a.m.
- What happened: A menorah was stolen.
16000 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Dec. 21 at 11 a.m.
- What happened: A bicycle was stolen.
800 block of Haverford Ave.
- When: Dec. 21 at 10:15 p.m.
- What happened: Some golf clubs were stolen.
Vandalism
1100 block of El Medio Ave.
- When: Dec. 17 at 10 p.m.
- What happened: A suspect spray painted the front door and driveway of a home and damaged a mailbox.
800 block of Haverford Ave.
- When: Dec. 20 at 8 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect forced opened and damaged doors to a building lobby.
