Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Teen Charged with Stealing Ring and 10 Reported Burglaries

Teen arrested for stealing jewelry

A 13-year-old girl was arrested at 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 1400 block of Allenford Avenue. She was charged with grand theft after taking a ring from a residence in the 16500 block of Calle Victoria, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

  • Between 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 15500 block of Sunset Boulevard, a vehicle's window was smashed and a suspect took a laptop computer.
  • Between 8 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 15500 block of Sunset Boulevard, a vehicle's window was smashed in and the suspect took a purse, wallet, clothing and money.
  • Between 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 15500 block of Sunset Boulevard, a vehicle's window was smashed and the suspect took an umbrella, sunglasses and a garage door remote.

Theft while car in valet's care

Between Aug. 31 and Sept. 3 in the 1500 block of Michael Lane, a suspect reportedly took property from a vehicle while it was in the care of a valet service.

More vehicle and residential burglaries

  • Between 5 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 13800 block of Sunset Boulevard, a rear door window was smashed to a home and the suspect ransacked a bedroom. It was unknown what property was taken.
  • Between 3 p.m. on Sept. 16 and 3 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the 17400 block of Posetano Road, a laptop computer was stolen from a residence after the suspect entered the victim's home through an unlocked window.
  • Between 10 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 500 block of Palisades Drive, an iPad and medication were stolen from a home. It was not reported how the victim gained entry to the home.
  • Between 8 p.m. on Sept. 17 and and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 in the 200 block of Entrada Drive, a briefcase was removed from an unlocked vehicle.
  • Between 9 a.m. on Sept. 18 and 3 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 300 block of Mount Holyoke Avenue, jewelry was removed from a home, and police say the suspect is possibly a worker at the victim's home.
  • Between 4 p.m. on Sept. 1 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the 1400 block of Palisades Drive, an iPod was stolen from a residence after police report the suspects were invited to sleepover at the victim's home.

Vandalism

  • Between 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 1 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 1500 block of Palisades Drive, a suspect scratched the paint on the victim's vehicle.
  • Between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the at the Almar Avenue and Sunset Boulevard intersection, eggs reportedly damaged the paint on a vehicle, which are believed to be thrown by a suspect.
