Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Suspects Enter Home After Asking to Use the Bathroom

In this week's crime report, suspects make off with jewelry after asking to enter a home to use the bathroom.

The following crimes were reported between Sept. 23-Oct. 1. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Burglary/Theft From Vehicle

16900 block of Sunset Blvd.

  • When: Between Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 1 at 8:30 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a briefcase and an iPad.

Temescal Canyon Road at Pacific Coast Highway

  • When: Oct. 1 between 12 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a handbag.

Vandalism

1100 block of Chautauqua Blvd.

  • When: Between Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 16 at 5:30 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect damaged the landscaping on the victim’s property.

Arrest/Citations

400 block of Entrada Dr.

  • When: Sept. 26 at 12:35 a.m.
  • What happened: A 24-year-old male was arrested for a DUI after being involved in a traffic collision.

Other Crimes

Latimer Road

  • When: Sept. 29 at 11 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspects entered the victim’s property and cut trees without permission.

1100 block of Fiske St.

  • When: Between Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. and Sept. 30 at 8 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect took jewelry from the victim’s home.

500 block of Ocampo Dr.

  • When: Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspects entered the victim’s home after asking the victim if they could use the bathroom. The suspects took the victim's ring while the victim was distracted.
