Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Robbers Bind Victims, Burglar Arrested After Chase

In this week's crime report, robbers bound and gagged victims and a burglar was arrested after a chase through the Palisades.

The following crimes were reported between Feb. 5-Feb. 11. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Robbery

17900 block of Castellammare Dr.

  • When: Feb. 8 at 11 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspects entered the victim's home, gagged and bound victims, and took cellphones and jewelry.

Burglary/Theft From Motor Vehicle

300 block of Sumac Ln.

  • When: Between Feb. 3 at 4 p.m. and Feb. 6 at 7 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the construction site and took equipment from a construction vehicle.

Burglary

1400 block of Lachman Ln.

  • When: Feb. 6 between 7:45 a.m. and 8:40 p.m
  • What happened: The suspect smashed a window to enter the victim's home and took jewelry.

1100 block of Las Pulgas Pl.

  • When: Feb. 8 between 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed a glass door to enter the victim's home and took jewelry.

600 block of Las Lomas Ave.

  • When: Feb. 12 between 5:45 p.m. and 10:25 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed the glass on a door to enter the victim's home and took car keys.

1650 block of Via Floresta

  • When: Feb. 12 between 5:45 p.m. and 10:25 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed the glass on a door to enter the victim's home. It is unknown what property was stolen.

2200 block of Delaware Ave. (Santa Monica)

  • When: Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.
  • What happened: A 32-year-old male was arrested for burglaries connected to 600 Las Lomas Ave. and 16500 Via Floresta.

Grand Theft

400 block of Chautauqua Blvd.

  • When: Feb. 6 between 10:30 a.m. and 10:35 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect took gardening equipment from the drive way of his employer.

800 block of Alma Real Dr.

  • When: Feb. 10 at 4:45 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect ran up to the victim from behind, grabbed victim's phone from her hand, and fled the area. The suspect was described by police as a 16-year-old black male, 5'8" tall and about 170 pounds.

Petty Theft

16500 block of Sunset Blvd.

  • When: Feb. 5 between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect took bicycles from the multi-vehicle garage of the victim's home.

Vandalism

1000 block of Glenhaven Dr.

  • When: Between Feb. 7 at 6:30 a.m. and Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed a motion light sensor on the victim's property.
