Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Man Burglarizes Business for Food

Here are the crimes reported in Pacific Palisades from July 17-28. This information is provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Burglary

16100 block of Anoka Dr.

• When: Between July 12 at 12 p.m. and July 18 at 12:30 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect pried open a window to enter the victim’s home and took a television, car keys and jewelry.

15600 block of Sunset Blvd.

• When: Between July 17 at 10:30 p.m. and July 18 at 6:50 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect pried open a door at the victim’s business and took food items. The suspect has been described as a 26-year-old male with black hair, 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.

200 block of Toyopa Dr.

• When: Between July 20 at 8 p.m. and July 21 at 6:45 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect cut a screen to enter the victim’s home and took a television.

1000 block of Napoli Dr.

• When: Between July 17 at 11 a.m. and July 22 at 4:15 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect pried open a window to enter the victim’s home and took a television, DVD player and laptop computer.

1000 block of El Medio Ave.

• When: July 28 between 11:35 a.m. and 2:10 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s home through a window and took a television, laptop computer and jewelry.

Burglary/Theft From Vehicle

500 block of W. Rustic Rd.

• When: Between July 13 at 8 p.m. and July 14 at 6 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took money.

700 block of Brooktree Rd.

• When: Between July 19 at 2:30 p.m. and July 20 at 6:30 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect cut a lock off the back of the victim’s truck and took construction tools.

400 block of Entrada Dr.

• When: July 23 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle and took a wallet.

Temescal Canyon Road at Pacific Coast Highway

• When: July 23 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a laptop computer, laptop bag, clothing and makeup.

Vandalism

15200 block of Bestor Blvd.

• When: Between April 19 at 12:05 a.m. and July 18 at 6:35 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect smashed windows and spray painted graffiti on the interior walls of a church.

15400 block of De Pauw St.

• When: Between July 8 at 8 a.m. and July 18 at 9:45 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect scratched the paint on the victim’s vehicle.

100 block of Entrada Dr.

• When: Between July 14 at 11 p.m. and July 15 at 6 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect slashed the convertible top of the victim’s vehicle.

300 block of Mesa Rd.

• When: Between July 17 at 12 p.m. and July 19 at 11 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect cut electrical wires on the exterior of the victim’s home.

15300 block of Sunset Blvd.

• When: Between July 25 at 11 p.m. and July 26 at 4 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect threw motor oil on the awning and patio furniture of the victim’s business.

800 block of Alma Real Dr.

• When: Between July 27 at 10 p.m. and July 28 at 4 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect damaged a chain link fence around a baseball field.

Arrest/Citations

15600 block of Sunset Blvd.

• When: July 18 at 4 p.m.
• What happened: A 26-year-old male was arrested for burglary after breaking into a state park building and eating stored food. This was the same suspect reported in the above burglary in the 15600 block of Sunset Blvd.

Pacific Coast Highway at Sunset Boulevard

• When: July 14 at 10:40 p.m.
• What happened: Two 17-year-old males were cited for violation of curfew.

Pacific Coast Highway at Coastline Dr.

• When: July 27 at 11:55 p.m.
• What happened: A 26-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Other Crimes

17800 block of Castellammare Dr.

• When: July 20 at 3:30 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect took the victim’s cell phone from the victim’s business.

800 block of Via De La Paz

• When: Between July 3 at 10 a.m. and July 9 at 10 a.m.
• What happened: The suspect entered the victim’s business and took clothing.

15500 block of Sunset Blvd.

• When: July 24 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• What happened: The suspect (possibly a friend of victim’s 15-year-old son) took laptop computers, an iPod and a game system.
