Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Jewelry and Wallets Targeted in Latest Burglaries

Taking valuables while you sleep

Between Oct. 20 at 10:30 p.m. and Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. in the 800 block of Jacon Way, a suspect entered a home while the victim was sleeping and took jewelry, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Burglarized vehicles

  • On Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Frontera Drive and Alma Real Drive, a suspect took a wallet and money from an unlocked vehicle.
  • On Oct. 10 between 9 a.m. and Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. in the 14900 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and took a credit card.
  • On Oct. 13 between 4:40 and 7:15 p.m. in the 17300 block of Pacific Coast Highway, a suspect took property from a vehicle while it was in the care of a valet service.
  • On Oct. 8 between 9 and 11 a.m. in the 800 block of Alma Real Drive, a suspect entered a vehicle through an open window and took a purse, wallet and camera.

Jewelry Theft

Between Feb. 1, 2012 at 12:05 a.m. and Oct. 1, 2012 at 12:05 a.m. in the 900 block Chattanooga Ave., a suspect took jewelry from unsecured property.

Motorcyclist kicks off mirror

On Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Porto Marina Way, a suspect, riding a motorcycle, kicked the mirror off another vehicle.

Stolen iPhone

On Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at 15700 Bowdoin St., a 15-year-old boy was arrested for taking another student's iPhone.
