The following crimes were reported between May 27 and June 2. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Grand Theft Auto
Pacific Coast Highway at Sunset Boulevard
- When: May 30 at 3 a.m.
- What happened: An 18-year-old male was arrested for taking the victim's vehicle without permission from the City of Santa Monica.
Burglary/Theft From Motor Vehicle
17000 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Between May 28 at 4 p.m. and May 29 at 9:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect slashed the convertible top on the victim's vehicle and took the vehicle radio.
800 block of Fiske St.
- When: May 30 at 3:30 a.m.
- What happened: Two teenage male suspects began to remove a vehicle cover from the victim's vehicle and activated an alarm. The victim confronted the suspects causing them to flee.
Sunset Boulevard at Temescal Canyon Road
- When: June 3 between 2:15-3 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window to enter the victim's vehicle and took a purse, wallet, jewelry and money.
Burglary
800 block of Haverford Ave.
- When: Between May 30 at 5 p.m. and May 31 at 10:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim's property and took a microwave door and plate, a window screen and a mirror.
14800 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Between May 31 at 8:15 p.m. and June 1 at 7 a.m.
- What happened: The suspects pried open a door to enter the victim's home and took kitchen appliances and tools.
800 block of Paseo Miramar
- When: Between May 30 at 5 p.m. and June 1 at 8:30 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim's home through a window and ransacked the victim's home. It is unknown if property was taken.
Petty Theft
15000 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: May 30 between 3-5:20 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took the victim's American flag from the front gate of the victim's home.
Vandalism
15000 block of Altata Dr.
- When: Between May 28 at 7 a.m. and May 29 at 7 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect spray painted the victim's fence and trailer.
