Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Burglar May Have Kicked Door to Enter Home

In this week's crime roundup, police say a burglar possibly kicked a door to enter a home.

The following crimes were reported between Jan. 15-Jan. 22. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Burglary/Theft From Vehicle

800 block of Radcliffe Ave.

  • When: Between Jan. 15 at 8:15 p.m. and Jan. 16 at 6 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took a laptop computer, blood pressure kit and earphones.

900 block of Hartzell St.

  • When: Between Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 21 at 9:30 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim's vehicle and took a camera, bag and surgical tools.

200 block of Ocean Way

  • When: Between Jan. 21 at 10:30 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and took money, a GPS, blue tooth, glasses and a flashlight.

200 block of Ocean Ave.

  • When: Jan. 18 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took a purse, money and a cellphone.

1000 block of Hartzell St.

  • When: Between Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 21 at 11:30 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and took money, headphones and an emergency kit.

Burglary

800 block of Brooktree Rd.

  • When: Between Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 21 at 1:30 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect possibly kicked a door to enter the victim's home and took a scanner, tripod and DVD player.

600 block of Alma Real Dr.

  • When: Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. and Jan. 19 at 7:40 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered a home under construction and took tools.

Grand Theft

800 block of Jacon Way

  • When: Between Jan. 3 at 5:30 p.m. and Jan. 4 at 8 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect entered the victim's open garage and took a bicycle.

Vandalism

15300 block of Sunset Blvd.

  • When: Jan. 15 at 5:43 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspects etched the sink and towel dispenser at victim's restaurant. One suspect was described by police as a Hispanic man with black hair, 16-18 years old, 5'7" tall and weighing 140-180 pounds. The second suspect was described as a white man with red hair, 16-18 years old, 5'7" tall and weighing 140-180 pounds.

Warrant Arrest

Sunset Boulevard at Swarthmore Avenue

  • When: Jan. 20 at 2:20 p.m.
  • What happened: A 29-year-old man was arrested for a felony warrant after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Vehicle Tampering

400 block of Sycamore Rd.

  • When: Jan. 17 at 3:55 a.m.
  • What happened: The suspect was observed looking into the victim's vehicle and was possibly attempting to open the vehicle. Police describe the suspect as a 41-year-old Hispanic man with black hair, brown eyes, 5'10" tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

Trespass

300 block of Surfview Dr.

  • When: Jan. 22 at 12:50 p.m.
  • What happened: The suspect was inside the victim's home during an alarm activation. The suspect was questioned by a responding security patrol and released.
