Man Jumps From CVS Parking Lot into Loading Dock

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in Pacific Palisades.

A man who jumped from the CVS parking structure and landed in the United States Postal Service loading dock Tuesday afternoon was taken by an ambulance to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center for care, according to Palisades Patrol.

As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night the man is in stable condition in the hospital, according to Officer Christopher No of the Los Angeles Police Department. His name is being withheld.

The man, who was described as 20-25 years old, jumped about 1 p.m., according to Scott Wagenseller, chief executive officer of Palisades Patrol. The man is being treated for injuries sustained in the fall, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Wagenseller said the jump had to be approximately 20 feet or less and the man appeared to be alive when the ambulance arrived. 

An engine and rescue from Station 23, along with two LAPD cruisers also came to clear the scene.
