LAPD Officer Recovering After PCH Crash

The officer suffered a laceration to the back of his head in the July 27 accident at Temescal Canyon Road.

An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department is doing well after an accident on Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades last week. 

LAPD officials said a vehicle was traveling southbound on PCH and crossed over the center divider near the Temescal Canyon intersection at around 3:30 p.m. on July 27. The vehicle collided head-on with a police car, which was stopped in the left turn lane from northbound PCH into the beach parking lot.

According to the LAPD, the driver of the vehicle that crossed the center divider was not hurt and no citation was issued.

The officer suffered a laceration to the back of his head, requiring five staples. The LAPD told Patch that the officer is doing well.
