UPDATED: House on Fire in Pacific Palisades

Heavy fire, smoke is coming from the attic.

UPDATE at 9:06 p.m.: Arson detectives were actively investigating the cause of the fire, City News Service reported.

UPDATE AT 12:38 p.m.: The fire is now out, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman. The cause is still under investigation.

A fire is burning in a house in the 500 block of Las Casas Avenue in Pacific Palisades.

Tweets report that the fire is in the attic of a one-story house and that there is heavy smoke.

KTLA reports the call first came in at 11:35 a.m. at 523 Las Casas Ave. A fire official was quoted as saying the attic was “well involved in fire."
