Fire Burns Home in Santa Monica Canyon

The house fire in the Pacific Palisades area was quickly extinguished on Monday night.

A fire burned in a one-story home in Pacific Palisades for 21 minutes Monday night before being extinguished by 27 firefighters, a Los Angeles Fire Department official said.

The fire at 577 E. Channel Road was reported at 7:38 p.m., said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Erik Scott.

Additional firefighters were initially called, but the call was canceled. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire and an estimate of the damage was not immediately available.

As of Tuesday, the fire remains under investigation.
