Extra Firefighters Deployed in Brentwood, Pacific Palisades

They are situated in brush fire danger areas of Council District 11 until further notice.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) increased deployment levels Tuesday due to weather conditions, according to City Councilman Bill Rosendahl.

The LAFD is staffing and pre-deploying the following resources in the brush areas of Council District 11 until further notice:

  • Engine 469 at Fire Station 69 in Pacific Palisades
  • Brush Patrol 23 in the Castellammare and Palisades Highlands communities
  • Brush Patrol 19 in Brentwood

Engine 469, staffed with four members, will provide increased personnel in the Pacific Palisades, while the three Brush Patrol units, each staffed with two firefighters, will patrol their respective communities and provide rapid response and intervention to any sighting of smoke or fire.

A red flag warning is in effect for the area through Tuesday, and a house and brush fire already occurred Monday in the Chickory Lane and Canna Road area of Brentwood.

Not sure. There's not always an immediate answer to helicopters circling. Did anyone else hear orRead More see this? How long did it last? Was it just 1 copter or many police units?
