Curry: Palisades 'Most at Risk' Due to LAFD Cuts
The former Los Angeles Fire Commissioner tells NBC 4 Pacific Palisades is the community he is most concerned about since LAFD resources have diminished.
In an interview with NBC 4, former Los Angeles Fire Commissioner Tom Curry said Pacific Palisades is at the top of his list for communities at risk due to Los Angeles Fire Department cuts.
Los Angeles Firefighters Union President Pat McOsker told NBC 4 that due to lack of adequate LAFD resources, many communities are in danger, including the South Robertson area. However, Curry told the news organization he believes Pacific Palisades is the "most at risk." According to the report, Curry is concerned because the Palisades is "completely cut off between Sunset and PCH" and last summer, he fears the area has lost the backup it needs.
In a previous interview with NBC 4, Los Angeles Fire Chief Brian Cummings said that the Palisades "has the fewest calls of any district in the City of Los Angeles.”
