Car Owner Leaves Key Nearby, a Thief Pounces

Between 5 p.m. Feb. 27 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 28, someone smashed a mirror on a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Galloway Street.

Between 10 a.m. and noon March 2, someone snatched a wallet, money and cell phone from an unlocked vehicle parked near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard.

Between 8 p.m. March 1 and 8 a.m. March 2, a suspect pried open a door to home’s garage in the 400 block of Surfview. Stolen was a wallet, money and tools. The suspect is described as a male, between 5 foot,3 inches and 5 foot, 5 inches, around 150-160 pounds between 30 and 40 years old with black hair.

At 2:05 p.m. March 2, a suspect found a key to a car hidden under it, opened it and took money, an iPad and cell phone. The vehicle was parked in the 16800 block of PCH. The suspect was seen driving a black Ford.
