Man, 87, Pulled from Palisades Pool in Critical Condition

The man's wife calls firefighters to the home on the 16000 block of Charmel Lane on Tuesday afternoon, and they transport him to Santa Monica Hospital.

Firefighters pulled an 87-year-old man from a swimming pool in the 16000 block of Charmel Lane in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday afternoon.

Fire Stations 69 and 23 responded to the call at about 4 p.m.

Firefighters at Station 23 said the man lived at the residence where he was found. Officials said his wife called for help and they found him at the bottom of the pool.

Firefighters said they got a pulse and then Station 23 crews transported the man to Santa Monica Hospital in extreme critical condition.

The identity of the man has not been released for privacy reasons, Los Angeles City Fire Department officials said.
