To the Editor:
For those Republican congressmen who amused themselves during the campaign by characterizing their fellow Americans as either makers or takers, I have a question: Are you a maker or a taker?
Certainly you have taken care of yourself with a very good salary, an excellent health plan, fine retirement benefits, and loads of days off. But what are you making for us? Spending endless days stonewalling against necessary tax increases for those who can most afford them certainly doesn't make it for us.
