A Perfect Moment

One chilly winter's day I was in town and decided to treat myself to a Starbucks beverage, a rare luxury for me. I ordered a warm apple cider flavored with caramel and cinnamon. It's called Caramel Apple Spice.

I sat in a cushy chair and took a sip. It was outrageously delicious, and I was so grateful for that moment to be fortunate enough to be able to purchase it and for the ability to profoundly enjoy it. At the same moment this beautiful song came on the speakers, Coldplay's Paradise. The song lyrics fit the moment.

I sat there sipping--eyes closed and tears welling up. Each time I closed my eyes, the waves of love deepened. It was paradise.
