Palisades Mayor Jake Steinfeld Plans to Launch Community Website

The actor, who lives in the Palisades, wants to launch a fun local website to bring the community together.

Actor and Pacific Palisades' 28th honorary mayor plans to flex his muscle for the community well beyond marching in the annual Fourth of July parade.

Steinfeld tells Patch he's ready to build enthusiasm to bring the Palisades together online by launching his own website askmayorjake.com.The website aims to be fun and lighthearted, while also being front and center to supporting all things 90272, such as helping local businesses.

"I've got ideas and the people who live here have ideas on getting things fixed and I decided to put a group of people together to say, 'here's how we can help here to make this the greatest place on earth to live, the reason we moved here in first place," Steinfeld said.

In encouraging economic development in Pacific Palisades, Steinfeld said not only do they want Palisades residents to shop locally, but to promote Pacific Palisades as a great place to come and shop, as well as bring the community together.

"The old school folks, who’ve been here for decades, to the people who've been here a couple of decades, to the new people who've come in, to figure out ways to support each other, which is, in essence, to support this great place we live, to keep it great, not just today, but for the next 100 years," Steinfeld said.

"It will be steeped in fun," he added.

Steinfeld is also a fitness personality and has a line of fitness equipment called "Body by Jake."
