Pacific Palisades Woman's Club Launches Campaign to Renovate Clubhouse

The Pacific Palisades Woman's Club is launching a capital campaign to renovate its facility's clubhouse at 901 Haverford Ave. to update much of its infrastructure that has not been updated since the 1960s.

The PPWC is seeking individuals or businesses that would like to take part in  the preservation of the community asset. President Kristin Sibson said resources are sought in the areas of architectural design, commercial kitchens    and construction, as well as commercial contractors.

The fundraising and planning process is in the very preliminary stages.

The 150-member strong PPWC hopes to bring the Clubhouse up-to-date to become a community cornerstone, offering a space for group or private events, town hall meetings, or special occasions supporting Palisadian residents.

Sibson said the clubhouse has not been upgraded since 1965 and was originally built in 1951 on land purchased by the group eight years earlier.
