ABC7 news interviewed Dr. Daniel Kelly, Neurosurgeon and Director of the Brain Tumor Center at the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John’s Health Center and lead neurosurgeon about his participation in the "Neuro-Cinema and Beyond" series. The series is a project aimed at promoting brain awareness via the medium of film. The kick-off gala took place on January 22nd with the screening of The English Surgeon by Director Geoffrey Smith followed by a Q&A with the director and Dr. Daniel Kelly about the medical issues in the film.

The series is a collaboration between Saint John's Health Center, John Wayne Cancer Institute and the Topanga Film Institute.
