Olympics Rocked by Badminton Scandal

A satirical look at current events!

Olympics Rocked by Badminton Scandal:  The London Olympics has been rocked by a badminton match-throwing scandal which has left a sour taste on the London Games.  I don’t understand why everyone acts so surprised about the scandal.  After all, the game is badminton, not goodminton.

Sinful Dog:  A South Carolina woman who hanged and then burned her nephew’s “devil dog” because the dog chewed up her Bible, has been charged with felony animal cruelty.  I could be wrong, but I suspect God would have probably preferred that she just buy herself a new Bible.

Pastor Blames Gay-Marriage for Biblical Great Flood:  The pastor of the Knollwood Church in Mobile, Ala. has come to Chick-fil-A's defense, not only applauding the company’s anti-gay views, but also claiming that same-sex marriage brought about the great flood referenced in the biblical narrative of Noah's ark.  If that’s true, shouldn’t we be encouraging gay-marriage in many of the Mid-West and Southern states where they’re experiencing the worst drought the US has seen in 56 years?

Massive Power Blackout Hits India:  A monster power blackout that has curtailed power to 670 million people has hit India.  Experts believe that this may very well be the worst blackout to hit since Charlie Sheen quit drinking.

American Faith in Churches Wanes:  A new Gallup poll shows that only 44 percent of Americans have great trust in “the church or organized religion,” a surprising finding in a country where more people—about 90 percent of the population—claim to believe in God.  I tried to believe in organized religion, but I could’t get organized.
