The Boy Scouts of America A Century of Honor

Celebrate

On Tuesday, October 29, the LDS Church is putting on an event called "A Century of Honor."  The celebration is for everyone—current Scouts, former Scouts, family members, friends, and neighbors.

Church regional congregations (stakes) all over the United States will be hosting local events for their communities, centered around an industry-production quality broadcast presentation from the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

The purpose of the celebration is to celebrate scouting in our communities and the 100 year relationship between the BSA and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  To get an idea of the quality of the broadcast, you can see a teaser video here: http://scouts100.lds.org

On Tuesday, October 29, we will be hosting the broadcast from 6:00pm-7:30pm at our stake center at 3400 Sawtelle Blvd Los Angeles, CA.  The broadcast will be followed by an open house with fun activities and light refreshments. A rebroadcast will begin at 8pm.

For the event, we want to capture the diversity of our District by way of short bio videos.  We'd like for you to send us videos 15-30 seconds in length that say your name, interesting things about you, and your unit number/sponsoring organization.  See the following video:  http://youtu.be/qmUCwol7I7A and then send videos to jjudd@mac.com by October 26.
