Mindy Budgor, author

The
Friends of the Palisades Library is pleased to present this program with Mindy
Budgor, who will discuss her new book, Warrior Princess. Mindy Budgor is a 2012 graduate of the University of Chicago Booth
School of Business. Before attending business school, she volunteered in
Africa, helping to build schools and hospitals in the Maasai Mara. While there,
she asked the Maasai Chief why there were no women warriors. When he responded
that women were not strong or brave enough, Mindy realized her calling and
began the journey to become the first female Maasai warrior. She hopes Warrior Princess will build awareness
for the tribe. She also hopes it will encourage people to find their passions and
to truly listen and collaborate with others.
