The Rotary Club is putting on a trio of athetic events on Sunday, October 21, 2011, starting and ending at Palisades Charter High School. The Pacific Palisades Triathlon, the Team Triathlon, and the 5K run will start at 8:00am. They will be professionally timed races on closed streets south and west of the school.

The Triathlon and Team Triathlon will be a sprint triathlon in reverse order: a 5K run, 10K bike, and a 160 meter swim (7 lengths of the pool) in the school's Maggie Gilbert Aquatic Center. A Kids Fun Run on campus will start at 9:30am.

The event benefits community youth programs. The races have a Halloween theme, so come in any costume or body paint that is safe for racing; you can decorate your bikes too. All racers on bikes have to wear a helmet.

You will find all the info at www.palisadesrotary.com on the PALI TRI page there, including course maps, and you may register at www.palitri.com or on the day of the race at Pali High.
