Update: Water Main Line Leak in Palisades

The water is back on after a water main line leak at Swarthmore Avenue and Hampden Place was repaired.

Water was temporarily shut off while crews from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power worked to fix a leak on a 4-inch main line in Pacific Palisades Thursday afternoon. According to the LADWP, the water was back on and the issue resolved as of 6:45 p.m.

The leak became noticeable to residents at about 12 p.m. when water began running along the sides Swarthmore Avenue and Hampden Place.

At about 4 p.m., LADWP officials said the water pressure was low in the main line, but they would need to shut off water temporarily to complete repairs. Officials estimated about 20 customers were without water while repairs were made.
