Sustainable Home in Pali Gets Cabinets, Radiant Heating

The VISION House Los Angeles shows off its new additions at an open house.

From the street, the construction site at the corner of Via de la Paz and Bestor Avenue looks like one of the many renovations going on in Pacific Palisades. But things look a little different on the other side of the fence. The project, called the VISION House Los Angeles, will be a sustainable home filled with green technology.

The companies behind the project, Green Builder Media and Structure Home, held an open house Monday, so neighbors could see the progress. and you could see right through the walls! This time, the rooms were sectioned off, some cabinets already set, even radiant floor heating had been installed.

The house, when completed, will be California ENERGY STAR certified, have Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and will use products that are water efficient.
