RESCHEDULED: Southbound Getty On-Ramp to Close Over Weekend

K-rail placement was scheduled to be completed last week, but weather issues has pushed the closures for this weekend.

The Getty on-ramp to the southbound 405 Freeway will be closed over the weekend while crews perform work necessary for the realignment of the ramp, according to Metro.

The work was originally scheduled for the weekend of March 16, but Metro officials say the work was not completed due to inclement weather.

The ramp will close at 7 p.m. Friday and will re-open Monday at 6 a.m.

According to Metro, crews will be placing k-rail, which are temporary concrete barriers.

Metro officials say once the weekend closure is complete, eight months of construction will continue to realign the ramp. During that time, the right turn lane on Sepulveda Boulevard to the southbound Getty on-ramp will be removed.

The closures are subject to weather conditions, so for the latest information visit the Metro website.
