Sepulveda Subject to Construction Closures

Work has begun on the relocation of a sewer line along Sepulveda Boulevard, which will cause street closures at intersections with Homedale Street and Bronwood Avenue for the next five months, according to Metro.

A five-month construction project began Monday to install a sewer line along Sepulveda Boulevard between Montana Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.

The project will require the closure of intersections at Homedale Street at Sepulveda Boulevard and Bronwood Avenue at Sepulveda Boulevard Monday through Saturday from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., Metro announced Friday.

Motorists can expect the following, according to Metro:

  • Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Montana Avenue and the Sunset bridge from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • The intersections of Homedale Street at Sepulveda Boulevard and Bronwood Avenue at Sepulveda Boulevard will close from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
  • The support of excavation for this activity requires the drilling of beams
and the driving of metal plates into the ground to facilitate trenching
operations. Pounding noise and some vibration may be experienced during this operation.
