Update: Northbound 405 Fwy. to Close for Mulholland Bridge Construction

Metro says crews need an extra night to put up falsework to support bridge reconstruction. The northbound lane of the 405 Freeway will be closed Friday night, in addition to the Wednesday and Thursday night closers originally scheduled.

The northbound 405 Freeway will be closed overnight from Getty Center Drive to the 101 Freeway Friday night, according to Metro.

Originally, the closure was scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday nights, but crews needed more time, Metro officials said.

Crews will be putting up falsework at the freeway median near the Mulholland Bridge. Falsework is a temporary structure that supports the bridge during reconstruction.
