Church/Waterford Intersection Closes Mon. For Construction

A contractor will be checking underground utilities in preparation for sewer line work.

The intersection of Church Lane and Waterford Street will be closed Monday while a contractor checks underground utilities, according to Metro.

The work, which is in preparation for sewer line bypass installation, will be on Monday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. only.

Closures due to the utility work will be as follows:

  • Church Lane/Waterford Street intersection will be closed for 100 feet in each direction.
  • When the sewer line activity begins, 30 feet of Waterford Street and 100 feet of Church lane will be impacted.
  • Street parking will be restricted in work zones.

Metro says local access for residents will be maintained and emergency responders will have access to the area. In addition, pedestrians will be rerouted to a safe area.
