CHP Posts Checkpoint in Palisades on July 4

CHP will have a checkpoint set up in the Pacific Palisades Area on July 4.

California Highway Patrol will be looking out for drunk driving, speeding and other traffic violations this Fourth of July weekend.

"We want you to travel safely through this great state, and enjoy your weekend with friends and family," said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow.

There will be checkpoints throughout Los Angeles, with one in the Pacific Palisades area. 

Pacific Palisades Checkpoint
Where: Beginning at Pacific Coast Highway and Temescal Canyon Road
When: Monday, July 4 at 4 p.m.
Specifics: Checkpoint is estimated to be in effect for six hours.
