Update: Another Power Outage Hits the Palisades

According to the LADWP, power was restored after an outage cut electricity for about 600 customers in Pacific Palisades on Thursday.

According to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, a power outage, which affected approximately 600 customers in the Pacific Palisades area on Thursday has been resolved.

The outage was reported at about 11:30 a.m. and was fully restored to all customers at approximately 4 p.m., an LADWP spokesperson told Patch. A transformer problem was the cause of the outage, according to the LADWP. Officials said crews would remain in the area to fix a few street lights that were not working following the outage.

The power company did not release specific streets and addresses that were affected for privacy reasons. However, Patch readers in the Highlands reported their power was out at about the same time the LADWP reported the issue.

One resident tweeted that the outage was from Michael Lane to Chastain Parkway. At about 3 p.m. the same resident told Pali Patch via Twitter that LADWP crews were in the 1500 block of Michael Lane working underground.

The LADWP restored power to about 400 customers on Wednesday after . Power had been out from 9 a.m. until just before 7 p.m. Wednesday's power trouble was unrelated to the outage on Thursday, said officials.
